First off, the Lady Generals coaching staff and
players would like to thank you all for a great Jr. Generals' season.
Despite the weather, we saw lots of great basketball and saw much growth
in the teams and players.
A special thanks goes out to all the coaches
for putting in the time and effort to lead these teams - without them
this program could not work. We would also like to thank all the parents
who provided transportation and support to their girls - it is so great
to look up in the stands and see so many supportive, cheering faces.
While the league might be ending, that does not mean that
basketball will be stopping! In the next few months, we will send out
information in regards to our summer basketball camp. While dates are
unknow right now, we will forward this information and registration
information once we have it.
We will also again be offering FREE skills clinics this spring
to all interested 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. More information will
follow soon.
Finally, our Jr. High and High School
programs are currently in the middle of their NCAA Squares fundraiser.
For $30, you can purchase a "square" for the NCAA Men's Basketball
tourney. Once all tickets are sold, you will be randomly assigned to a
square, and then the fun begins. If any of the games end with scores
that match your numbers - you win! More than $1,500 in prizes will be
awarded. Please see attached sheet for more details.
If you are interested in purchasing a square (or several) please let Andrea Pontsler (apontsler@anthonywayneschools.org) know and she will get you set up!
