UPDATED SCHEDULE

Attention all Jr. Generals Families: 

Due to a new event added to the High School calendar, we have had to move some games around on Saturday, Jan. 18. Below you will find a new schedule, which reflects these changes. 

We also ask that all 5th and 6th grade families take note of some game changes made on Saturday, Jan. 25.

Jr. Generals Night - Friday, December 13

Reminder...

We will be holding our Jr. Generals' night NEXT FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13 at the Lady Generals games against Southview.

All PLAYERS will be admitted FREE. Upon entry, they will be able to submit their name into a drawing to win opportunities to attend our summer camp for FREE or the chance to win a spirit basket full of AW gear.

All players will also be recognized after the first quarter of the Varsity game, and the girls will have the opportunity to wish the Varsity girls good luck, before they play the Southview Cougars.

This should be a great night full of fun! Freshman will tip off at 4:45 pm, followed by the Junior Varsity around 6:00 pm and the Varsity around 7:15 pm.

Jr. Generals Schedule Posted

Below, you will find a link to this year's Girls Jr. Generals League schedule. Please pay close attention to game times and locations. All games will be played at the AW High School, except for games on January 25 and February 1. On these two dates, games will be played at Fallen Timbers and AW Junior High, due to conflicts at the High School. 

Just a friendly reminder that admission to all games is FREE. Please invite friends and family out to enjoy these games! 

2014 Girls Jr. Generals League Schedule

League Update

We just wanted to take a moment to update you all on happenings in and around the league.

Practice Schedule:

Practice schedules have been posted under the schedule tab. As always, please consult with your team's coach(es) in regards to any practice changes, due to gym conflicts because of school events.

Practices are scheduled to start the week of November 18. The months of November and December always bring about lots of gym conflicts due to holiday events, so please pay close attention to communication from your coach(es).

Please be sure your daughter arrives a few minutes early so that she is able to be ready to go on the floor at her scheduled time. Water bottles should be brought to practice, but should be kept with care to avoid spills throughout the gyms.


Game Schedule:

I am in the process of finalizing game schedules this week. We had some schedule changes at the high school that affected our Jr. Generals' schedule. These should all be worked out by early next week.

T-Shirts/Jerseys

T-Shirts and Jerseys that were ordered this year should be available by the week of December 9. I will let coaches know when these are available for pick-up. 


Jr. General Night @ AW Lady General's Basketball Game:



Please mark your calendars for Friday, December 13. On this night, we are inviting all Jr. Generals participants and their families to attend our Lady Generals' games. All players will be admitted for FREE. In addition, on this night the players that attend will be given the opportunity to win several door prizes (including a FREE opportunity to attend our summer camp) and participate in forming a human tunnel for our Varsity Basketball team. The players will also be acknowledge and recognized during the game. Look for more information to come soon! 

It's Clinic Time...

Thank you to all of you who have already registered your daughter or daughters to participate in our Jr. Generals' league this year. If you have not done this yet, there is STILL TIME! Please click on the Registration Forms tab in order to access the registration paperwork.

This Saturday will be our clinic and draft for all players. From 8:30 am - 10:00 am, our 3rd and 4th grade players will participate in various drills and activities. Then, from 10:15 am to 11:45 am, our 5th and 6th grade players will be participating in these activities as well. 

After this clinic, all players will be contacted by their coaches and given details about practice schedules, etc. Practices will then begin for all teams the week of Nov. 18.

All 5th and 6th grade teams will have their first practice on Wednesday, Nov. 13. This practice will be run by the AW Lady Generals Coaching Staff and will be held in the AWHS gyms.

The Lady Generals Basketball Program would like to thank all of the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls that came out and joined us at our FREE fall skill clinics! We had an awesome group of 44 girls who spent ninety minutes in the gym each week, working on their offensive and defensive fundamentals. The coaching staff and players enjoyed spending time with these ladies and were quite impressed with the improvement seen even just in four weeks!

We will again be offering a set of FREE skill clinics in the spring, so look for information to come out after our Jr. General season

5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade Fall Skills Clinics

Check out the "Skills Clinics" tab at the top of this page for information on the fall skills clinics the Lady Generals Basketball Program will be sponsoring for all interested 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls. All skill clinics will be held at the AW Jr. High gym. Players are invited to attend as many of the four clinics as they are able - please wear tennis shoes and bring a water bottle and basketball.

Please note: These clinics are not associated with the clinics and drafts for the upcoming 3rd - 6th grade Jr. Generals season. These are separate clinics designed to further the skill development of our older players.

Look for registration paperwork and information about our upcoming 2013 - 2014 Jr. Generals program to be released on October 1st.
